By nightfall, the high-spirited Greeks had defeated the Italians, decimating them. Although the consequences of the battle were heavy for the civilian population, finally the Italian forces were repulsed and left the area for good after a new battle, which took place later in the area of \u200b\u200bKaloskopi.
